Scanner stopped working after 2 months. Ink is a major problem.

The scanner in this printer simply doesn't work. Constant error code. Used it once. The ink must be purchased through HP and of course it is a subscription. I pay $7.48 a month. This is costing me about 40 cents for every page I print. ON TOP OF ALL THAT it is supposed to be convenient that they mail you the ink. Haven't gotten on since march. Printer says out of ink. The app says out of ink. The subscription page IN THE APP says "Cartridge Error: We can't determine your next shipment, because we aren't able to read your ink levels. See details" the see details are: "Cartridge error. Either a cartridge is not installed or there is an issue with the installed cartridge. Replace or clean the cartridge to resolve the issue—you will not receive ink shipments until the error is resolved. Learn more about cleaning cartridges at support.hp.com. Visit the Help Center or contact HP Support for unresolved issues." Yes the issue is that you haven't sent me any ink but you wont because my ink is empty????? Last HP product I will ever buy.

An awesome printer with a use based subscription ink and paper resupply

I needed two network printers (one each for myself and my wife (we had, at the time, two home offices in different parts of the house.) These HP printers are workhorses! Scan, fax, and print the all-in-one allows seamless print projects on the bounce. The included HP app was wonky at first, but after a patch or two, it also improved. If you are looking for a superlative SOHO printer, this HP unit fits the bill at a reasonable price—plus - no trips to the office supply store to hunt up paper or ink. The printer handles envelopes and various paper sizes and is adjustable on the fly. It's also a decent copier to boot!
