Samsung removed the automatic backup for this device, and no manual backup is allowed, if your phone disconnect or your play store information is confused, you will not be able to connect the watch to your phone anymore, and there will not be a NY backup for it. Looked on Reddit and other forums, contacted Samsung support and directly stated that if the option is not there, you will not be able to backup your device (so yeah, unless using a Samsung phone it will not be allowed) Returning this device as such a basic function should never be brand enabled
