Game Changer!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I have been eyeing styling tools like this one for years, but the price point on all brands always puts me off. When prime day made this one no more expensive than any other hot hair tool, I decided to take the risk. OH MY GOODNESS AM I GLAD I DID I used it for the first time today after an exhausting day when I knew I wouldn't have the energy to dry my hair normally. I have very long, very fine hair but a lot of it, and it takes a minimum of 25-30 min to dry, and that's after it has air dried for about as long. I used the straightening tool since my hair is naturally straight, and I was done in under 10 min. My hair is dry, silky, shiny, and so soft, and I don't even have to touch a straightener to feel like it isn't puffy or frizzy. I did use an anti-frizz serum and heat protectant with it because I live in a very humid part of the country, but this feels so much easier. I can't wait to use the other attachments. I'm a teacher, and I simply don't have the time or energy to spend 30 min drying my hair and then another 10-15 straightening or curling. I'm ecstatic. Thoughts on concerns others raised: 1. Noise - it's no louder than a regular hair dryer. If anything, it's quieter. It might be louder than it's competition, but if you're going from a regular dryer to this, not a big deal. 2. Weight - I don't think it's an issue. I have carpal tunnel, so I can't use super heavy tools, and this one didn't bother me. I previously used the Revlon brush hair dryer combo, and that was much heavier. It is kind of long and awkward, but not a big deal and probably something you get used to. 3. Compared to Dyson - I've never used it so I have no idea, but I do know that I'm never going to pay $500 for a hair dryer. This one was significantly cheaper, and I'm perfectly happy.  This has changed my life. Love it!!!

Nice However...

The Shark Flex Style is overall good but it has some things that made me return it. >The drying power is great it might be too loud for people so if you have sensitive ears I would either recommend you to get a different one or wear ear protection while you are close to the ears. It did dry my roots quick as I am someone who has thick hair that takes a long time to properly dry. >It is not heavy so it made it acceptable while drying the hair but the size and buttons does make it a bit awkward while holding it. >The stylers are great it held up the blowout curls until I washed my hair again however I wash my hair every other day and have naturally curly to wavy hair that tends to hold up any curl even heatless hairstyles. Even when I did a straight blowout it lasted long. >The temperature gets HOT extremely hot at first I tried the hottest temperature and that kinda gave me a burning sensation on my scalp so I could recommend for you not to use the hottest temperature. >The main reason I returned it was due to the fact that it started smelling like burnt after the second use my hair dryer that is around a decade old does not even smell that bad so it made me worry that it would not last for a long time. Its nice but do buy it at your own risk!
