OtterBox iPhone 14 PRO Defender Series Case

I have had this case now for three months. I have had many Defender cases for various iPhones over the years. I needed a rugged case as a foreman on job sites. They all did their jobs, and I felt confident my phone was as protected as it could be, considering it wasn’t an old Nextel. This case, however, just isn’t the same. The rubber exterior edge constantly comes loose when I snap the phone it its holder. That, and the plastic holder doesn’t feel as thick as previously. In fact, the tab that keeps the phone locked into the holder is not tight. Many times, I have put my phone in its holder and it has fallen out. Once, I had to go looking for it on the ground. Now, I have trained myself to consciously feel that the phone is in the bottom cradles securely, and I give a light tug to verify it won’t easily fall out after snapping in place. Many times, I have to reinsert it. The outer rubber is still thick and durable. I feel as if the channel it sits in on the outer edge of the plastic frame is insufficiently sized to keep the rubber sleeve firmly in place. I work in an office most of the time now. I would never have considered searching for another case. Now, I am.
