Great Little Player
By Jazzbird on Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 2023
I've only had this for a week, but it's exceeded my expectations. It comes with a case and armband holder for workouts and even a preinstalled screen protector. I can't stand earbuds, so no clue how decent they may be, but the Bluetooth works well with my various speakers and headphones. The sound quality is decent, supports up to 128 GB, and cuts down on the need to stream all my music on the go. It has a graphic equalizer with presets and a custom setting, so if it sounds a little tinny out of the box that's fixable. The interface could be less clunky. If you have a large library (I have over 100 GB on mine), scrolling can be tedious. It also doesn't remember where you are if you have turned it off completely vs. just locked it. For some reason, not all of the music shows up in the Music interface, which is inconvenient, but I can also navigate by folder, so it's not a complete dealbreaker. My metadata is clean, and I need help finding any troubleshooting guides for why not all of my music is available. This one is a winner compared to other MP3 players at the ~$40 US price point (which had the same navigation clunkiness). Edit: I also discovered it has a speaker! Nothing fancy, but if you're just listening to a podcast or something it works.

Only lasted a little over a year

Purchased in October ’23 as a Christmas present and it's dead as of Feb ’24. Device still seems fine, but the “disk error” is making it impossible to access the music or even reformat the drive.

UPDATE: Great warranty service. After a few months I went to update the library on the player and my computer said the drive needed to be repaired but was unable to do so. I was unable to add or delete anything from the card either from the computer or from the player itself, though the player continued to read and play what was there I couldn't make any changes. It's as though the card had been write protected but it doesn't have that kind of feature. I contacted the warranty department, they sent me some troubleshooting steps that I had already tried unsuccessfully, when I advised them it didn't work they sent me a new one right away with no fuss. Also of note, after about a month of use I got myself a pair of bluetooth headphones. Setup was super easy, connected no problem. Battery life goes down quite a bit using bluetooth versus wired, but I still get about 3-4 work days worth of listening between charges. My only complaint is that it seems when I have bluetooth on, even when i turn the headphones off the player doesn't always automatically power down, learned this the hard way when the battery was about dead the next day. Solved the issue by making a point of shutting it down when i'm done with it for the day. This is a great little player for the price. Enough space for most of my audiobooks and the sound quality is pretty good, at least for audiobooks which is what I use it for. There are a few minor annoyances with the interface though. The ok and menu buttons should be switched for more logical setup. I keep hitting menu when i mean to hit ok. the other issue is that my audio books are very carefully setup with numbers before each book in a series and numbers before each chapter track to ensure they display correctly at least in my old MP3 player. Going into the standard menu they are not ordered correctly and thus don't play in proper order. If i go into the file directories directly though i'm able to go to each book properly and play the chapters in proper order, so it's just a minor issue of having to figure this out. Probably less of an issue for those using this for music only. Battery life has been great so far. I listen for 3-5 hours a day, 3 days a week and have not had to charge it yet after 2 weeks of use. Transfer of files was super easy and pretty fast, at least compared to my old sony walkman mp3 player.
The best player I have ever owned!!!

I currently own 5 small MP3 players. This is by far the best I have ever owned. Super high quality, easy to operate, Great sounding, huge storage capacity on a Micro SD card. Shuffle play Custom EQ, delete without having to go through a bunch of menus. The USB cable connects with a C-type which is my favorite because it goes in both ways. no need to fiddle with the plug. Also The player comes with a really nice case and a few other things. Totally worth the money. The manual is complete and very clear and you don't need a magnifying glass to read it. Whoever designed this player really had the right idea. This thing is perfect

Mp3 players are a dying species of electronics. Unless the end of days descends, I doubt they will ever be a premier product again. I buy these on behalf of kids in a home who have no internet access, and are not allowed access to phones - so they can listen to music offline. Gone through a lot of different models. This one, so far, is relatively excellent - the client has reported no issues and uses their bluetooth speaker with ease. The arm strap, audio plug, and case are great bonuses for the cost. I may need to adjust the review with time, often small defects emerge with use. But for now, great as far as non-iPod (RIP) music players go.
64GB MP3 Player with Bluetooth 5.2 Pros and Cons

The 64GB MP3 player with Bluetooth 5.2 is a great device for listening to music on the go. It has a large storage capacity, allowing you to carry all of your favorite songs with you, and it supports a variety of audio formats. The Bluetooth feature is convenient for connecting to speakers or headphones, but it can be unreliable at times. The user has experienced issues with Bluetooth disconnecting or glitching, which can be frustrating. In addition, there have been instances where both the buds and the speaker were on at the same time, just turn off Bluetooth and turn it back on. Another issue with the MP3 player is that its touch response can become unreliable when it gets wet. Also at random the device freezes or shuts down. However, the battery life of the device is decent and allows for extended listening sessions. Despite these issues, there are some features of the MP3 player that the user enjoys. One of these is the ability to instantly record or lock the device with the press of a button. This can be useful for quickly capturing audio or the song switching while in your pocket. However, the user has expressed concern that the MP3 player may stop working completely within 2 months.

This is a great device for anyone not ready for a smart phone or wifi device. My 13 year-old is very into music, but he doesn't have a smart phone yet, and we didn't want to give him a wifi-enabled device. He uses this on his frequent long bus rides. Pros: Sound quality Storage Size Ease of use - easy to navigate Plug and play - just plugged into a USB port on our Win10 machine, then it was drag and drop to load it Battery Life - He charges it about once per week, using it for roughly 2 hours per day Cons: Bluetooth - Couldn't connect to his bluetooth headphones or my car audio No touchscreen - once you get used to the buttons, it's very easy to navigate. It's just that first day or two that your brain tells you it's a touchscreen that are frustrating.
Nice! Slippery, tho.

It’s a great product. Easy to get music on it. Charges nice and has a long battery life. It’s got many features and though the menu is a little fiddly, it’s decent. The sound is great and the Bluetooth works well. The biggest flaw is the slipperiness of the unit. I’m going to need to find some grip tape or something because I’m afraid it’ll fly out of my hands. Came with a nice case and armband also.
Not a touchscreen, music sounded suppressed, super basic player.

First off, it's not a touchscreen. You can only navigate using the "buttons", and if you press the wrong one, the music stops until you navigate back and restart the song. Secondly, the sounds is acceptable but not great. I wouldn't say I'm an audiophile, but it sounded like there was a foam pad between me and the music no matter which headphones I used. Also, the volume defaults to barely audible whenever you connect via bluetooth, and it goes from "inaudible" to "sort of covers background noise." The bass is strong no matter what equalizer setting you put it at, but treble is very iffy. Thirdly, I could not find a way to sort songs once added. It doesn't recognize a leading zero in a filename, so 01 - 09 were at the end of a list making it impossible to listen to a soundtrack in order, and there didn't appear to be a way to fix it short of deleting, renaming, and re-adding songs. Lastly and most frustrating, the button to start an audio recording is right where your fingers naturally sit to brace for pressing the volume buttons. God forbid you lightly tap the record button - it will stop your music, start recording, and you have to go through multiple clicks to stop recording, yes really stop, no don't save the recording, back back back to get to music, scroll and select through folder/playlists to get to where you were, and then finally press to restart the song you were on. Infuriating.
Great packaging, sound quality is garbage

This unit comes in a very nice package: small convenient hard shell case (with carabiner clip) that holds the unit in a net protector, plus recharge cord, ear buds and a headphone jack. It also has an armband holder. It has no internal memory of its own but is supplied with a generic 64 GB microSD card already installed. If you want to expand it to 128GB (which is the max), you need to replace the microSD with a 128 and load onto that. It has a fairly easy drop-and-drag interface for transferring files (I use Windows). I bought this unit because of the BT capability. Unfortunately that's where the good news ends. Having an existing collection of about 500 ripped albums, they are organized into the folders that WMP set up which keeps album information and song sequence intact. I've had two other MP3 players (Sandisk) that had zero issue with this. I took the specific labelling of this product as "MP3 Player" to mean that it was different from current players that expect everything - including albums - to be rebuilt as a Playlist. In fact it's the same old problem; it does nothing of the sort. It is only designed to recognize playlists under its "Music" icon. My album folders did not appear under the "Music" icon but were instead located under "Documents". I was able to play them from there. However - whether from poor design overall or because of the "Documents" designation, the Sound Settings and Equalizer do absolutely nothing to adjust the sound quality. The sound from this unit is tinny, weak and one-dimensional with no bass at all. I tried it with the supplied ear buds and through a good quality BT speaker. I contacted customer service twice; the first time they responded within a day or so. My second inquiry about the sound issues eventually received an offer of refund or replacement and an apology. I don't recommend the product unless you a) don't care about sound quality or b) have another similar sized unit you can use the carry case and armband for.
