Beachwaver B1 Rotating Curling Iron in Midnight Rose

My hair is a couple inches past my chin. After having a great "beachy" blowout, I've been on a quest to learn to do it myself. After trying several standard curling and flatirons that didn't work, I decided to try this rotating curling iron. I can get OK results from a standard curling iron, but I struggle doing the side of my head with my dominant hand. I can't manipulate the iron the I need to, so I thought this iron would be ideal! Unfortunately, the clip is so short that I couldn't get the lock of hair in it with control. It would start to rotate and pull other parts of my hair into it resulting in a really messy look. Also, it takes some time to get comfortable with the controls because you can't see the direction buttons when you're using it. I used it once before determining it wasn't for me. My hair did hold the curls for a couple of hours, but it didn't feel like a tool I would get consistent results from, so I am returning it. I might consider another version with a longer barrel clip. But the main reason I returned them is that my hair did not hold the curl at all. These are probably fine for longer hair, but they did not work for me.
