This product works great, out of the box, and does come with a variety of different cables that match all the different possible inputs on the back of the soundbar. (No real need to buy a connecting cable unless you need an extra long one) Even if you don't have any idea what kind of connection your television needs, this kit probably has you covered. The included instructions are simple enough, and easy to understand with helpful drawings. I have tried out all the ways of connecting it, looking for the loudest. They all worked, and it seems that the Bluetooth connection gives the loudest sound, with some minor bass distortion when the volume is maxed out, depending on what you are listening to. Being a musician, I can be a little critical of sound quality, and that distortion at high volumes is the only reason I took off a point for sound quality, otherwise I liked it just fine! I listened to a variety of music, and talk, at high and low volumes, it's all good. The reason I bought this was so I could play instructional videos and hear them over my electric guitar, as my guitar drowned out the sound from the stock TV speakers. This soundbar is advertised as "36 watt" and connected to my smartphone (or directly to the back of the television) it gets loud enough to serve that purpose well. That is to say, it is loud enough and clear enough to compete with my guitar's amplifier, at normal to somewhat loud volumes. It is such a good value, easy to set up, seems well crafted, and is otherwise perfect so I am giving it 5 stars.
