ORIbox Screen Protector for iPad

I’ve installed many screen protectors over the years so I have a pretty good process down for the installation. Remove the old protector, clean the screen with the provided wet-nap, dry the screen with a microfibers cloth, fit the protector into position, attach the guide stickers to the edge to act as a hinge, then lift the protector using the hinge to get it out way but still connected to the iPad, use the dust sticker to remove any particles, then peel off the protective film on the protector, and using the hinge place the protector back in the screen. At this point the protector should start to adhere to the screen. If it doesn’t, touch your finger in the center and enjoy watching the air pockets be pushed out. Use a microfiber cloth to clean the screen and work any stuck air bubbles out to the sides. So my comments on this protector are that the wet-nap is folded very small, about the size of a dime. It was a struggle to get it unfolded. It does a good job of cleaning the screen, but it did leave a little residue that the microfiber cloth removed nicely. The included guide strips are also too small. These would be better suited for applying a protector to a phone, not an iPad. I went and grabbed some scotch tape to supplement and create a better hinge. The dust removal sticker could be bigger as well, but it worked okay. When it came time to adhere, it did so without me needing to touch it, and achieved what I would call the perfect application, with no stray air bubbles that I needed to work out. Initially the top edge unsealed as I was cleaning it, but after letting it sit sealed for a while, it’s staying put now. So far I’m impressed by this new protector. Fingerprints and smudges do happen, but they are acceptable and don’t cause any issues. They are easily cleaned with a microfiber cloth. The feel and response of the screen is great, so no issues or concerns there either. I’m really hoping this is the last one of these I have to install for a while. I haven’t had this iPad very long, but this is the 3rd screen protector I have applied to it. Both of the prior protectors popped up on the edges and let air bubbles form. If this one does the same, I’ll be back to let you know, but for now, this protector is performing as expected.
