Quiet, easy to clean, battery lasts a long time, and the cats love it!
By sierraseven on Reviewed in the United States on April 29, 2024
My cats were TERRIFIED of this fountain, for the first couple of hours, but then they bravely crept up on it and drank. Now they love it. My elderly cat likes that she doesn't have to bend down to drink. They all like the gently running water and how clean the water stays. It was easy to assemble. It's almost silent - just a very faint whirring sound, and the dribbling of the water. The water doesn't splatter, drip, or spill. I have it on a plastic tray on the floor, because that's where I had the water dish, but so far it has not had a stray drop around it. The battery has not run low after a week of sensor mode. You can top up the water without taking it apart, if you are careful to pour it in the drinking basin slowly. But the big question: how hard is it to clean? I used to have a "cat fountain" that was a huge pain in the neck to clean. I had to take the pump apart into tiny fiddly parts, and the water reservoir had a dozen nooks and crannies that collected slime and mineral scale. I got rid of it and went to a gravity-flow water bottle but it was also hard to keep clean. I finally just gave up and used a water dish that I had to refill every day, and that the cats would spill. The uahpet fountain is completely different. You just turn it off by pressing the power button for three seconds, and lift the pump assembly off of the back. The little filter at the bottom of the intake tube comes right out for replacement (but I just rinsed it out - it didn't look dirty after a week.) Then you lift off the top, lift off the filter holder, remove the filter (again, I just rinsed it rather than put in a new one), and wash the parts with a soapy sponge. The parts have very few corners or crevices. Squeaky clean in just a couple of minutes, reassembled in less than a minute, refilled and back in its spot and turned back on in another minute. Total of about five minutes to disassemble, wash, reassemble, refill, and start back up. Get this fountain. Your kitties (or small dogs) need to drink plenty of water. This fountain makes it so easy to give them nice clean water constantly.

LEFT MY CATS WITH NO WATER TWICE! ZERO STARS!
By Ivonne alvear on Reviewed in the United States on July 15, 2023
I have never written a review of anything on Amazon. I saw on tiktok that a wired water fountain killed their cat and at the time we had a different wired fountain so we decided to go with this brand. We bought two on April 25th. However, this wireless water fountain genuinely sucks. We cleaned these fountains every day or two to make sure it’s clean water for our 4 cats and to work effectively. For the first month or so, it worked great, it has a sensor activation or timer option . I always had it on sensor so my cats will always have water running when they got near by. Not even 2 months, coming back from a weekend (leaving Friday coming back Sunday) we noticed on one fountain, there was no water on the bowl and that it wasn’t running, mind you it was working perfectly fine before I left Friday. Thankfully, I added an extra large water bowl on the side as a precaution, otherwise my cats would’ve been dehydrated! So, i cleaned it, left it off and then tried again, worked fine until couple hours after it wouldn’t run the water regardless of the mode used or the water level. I went back to try and return but of course it was past the time of return. So I threw it away and bought from a different wired brand that seemed safe. I still had one more working from the 2 I bought. This morning, after 2 MONTHS AND 2 WEEKS roughly, I noticed there was no water on the bowl so i stood in front of it to sense me. NO WATER. I turned to the timer mode, no water was running. So again my cats were left with no water, thankfully just overnight. I cleaned it again, left it off just like I did couple months back with the other one and still nothing so here I am spending double the money for water fountains because these stopped working after 1mon & 2mo and a half. I spent $39.99 on each, absolutely worthless. I will never recommend these to any cat parent or any animal parent for that matter.
