The buttons are very difficult to use because of the safety lock, location, they are hard plastic, and they are recessed in a weird way. If you have any length on your nails and smaller feminine hands this is difficult to use because it can only be held a very specific way in order to press two buttons at the same time. I am very grateful that the attachment fits my older blender, which is superior with rubber sealed buttons that can be cleaned and it has no safety lock. I am throwing this away, the attachment was what I needed now that I know it fits the old one.
