Had many worries before this purchase
By KiNdmAn on Reviewed in the United States on May 16, 2023
This was a refurbished TV from beach camera, and I had many worries before purchasing. But the item shipped great and functions great. Because it was an Amazon “renewed” ( their word for refurbished ) guarantee backed product I also was able to purchase the extended warranty. Which may or may not be necessary, but I like the peace of mind especially for a refurb product. As far as Samsung, this is my 3rd tv, another great product. picture is great the sound is incredible. I was able to use the expert picture and sound settings to tailor it just how I want it. Picture settings sometimes need to be changed/optimized when watching 4K movies and broadcasting versus movies and broadcasting below that quality. using this TV for streaming and cable television viewing, not much gaming. No sound bar/home theatre connected. A lot of the reviews I read before purchasing this TV complained about the remote. Honestly it’s just fine and I love the fact it has no batteries and is chargeable by solar or plug in ( C-Type charger). The fact that the biggest complaint about this TV was the remote was actually a selling point for me. Great Samsung tv!

Refurbished? More like Hand-Me-Down Defective
By David on Reviewed in the United States on September 7, 2024
I was lured by the false sense of security that "Amazon Refurbished" meant that this was sold and supported by Amazon themselves. Come to find out that this is in fact a 3rd party without Amazon's full support. When I received the TV the defect was immediate, a static like 4" band of white lines flickered from top to bottom on one side of the TV. No damage to the outside box suggested that it was not damaged during transit, meaning that the original problem with the TV was never repaired and simply repackaged to be sold as is under "refurbished". Several repair centers I called about this issue all told me this was an unrepairable problem for a QLED. When I tried to return the TV initially, the 3rd party told me it was UPS picking it up and gave me A BLANK return slip with no postage. When I contacted them again the 2nd time and pointed this out they then told me the original shipper freight would call me and pick up the TV at the time and date I specified. When that time and day passed with no call from the shipper I called the shipper to find out that they did not do pickups for Amazon "or their partners" for returns. 3rd time they then apologized and told me to keep the TV and gave me a full refund. Long story short, the TV had an unrepairable defect, was passed onto me in hopes that I would not 'notice' it or would accept it as is without much of a fight but ended up giving it to me because they knew that the TV was dead weight and would have to be disposed of anyway. I know better now not to trust "Refurbished" on Amazon, thinking I would save money on a fixed product. I hope others reading this would heed my words as a warning.
