Great purchase for price

I have both this vacuum and a Bissell Icon pet pro. This is by far a more superior vacuum. It has better suction, is lightweight, and has a longer lasting battery. In the Bissell, I like the easy clean filter and the light, but I have already had to replace my Bissell under warranty because the motor would not turn off and I had to leave it running until the battery died. I had only had it less than a year. I’ve had the Whall over 1 year and have had no issues. I also like the lower profile of the vacuum head as it fits under my cabinets easily, unlike the $300 Bissell. This is an excellent choice in stick vacuums. It’s a little tough to use on carpet, but if you have mostly hard floors and maybe a low profile rug it is easy to use and certainly more reliable and effective than the much more expensive Bissell Icon Pet.

Don't pay any more than this!

This machine is made of light, cheap plastic. The floor attachment is flexible and often you cannot get the vacuum to stand up against a wall, etc. when you have it at a right angle to the floor. When it falls over the sound of crashing plastic is ear shattering. (And wonder how many crashes it will tolerate before it breaks). It seems to work on light cat hair and tiny things that you find on a smooth floor. But it definitely would not be good for rugs or carpets of any kind because of the way it is constructed. The rotating part inside the floor attachment inside has several "velvet" strips attached to it, and a strip on each end of the unit seems attract the sweepings. I don't know yet what will happen when the "velvet strips" on the rotating part become covered with hair -- you probably have to remove it by hand or maybe that's what the little brush is for. (Hand clean an electric vacuum?) And will the velvet strips unattach themselves after a period of use? I bought it to use in my RV and I tried to buy another wall charger and they are out of stock, no one knows for how long. Hopefully the upholstery/car cleaning function works. Seriously, they said this was $400+ and was greatly marked down?!!! This would be a real gem if it cost $25. If it works well on smooth floors, I'll be happy, but I certainly don't expect this to work for a number of years. It will fall over and break itself before that. I took out the extra warranty protection but I doubt if it covers breakage like that.
