Well made pool float mattress
By DW on Reviewed in the United States on June 26, 2025
Funsicle air mattress / pool float. The vinyl feels heavyweight and durable. I did not use a pump to inflate it, and it took approximately 24 big breaths to inflate the mattress, with approx..10 for the pillow. I like that there are separate valves for the bed and the pillow, allowing for a softer, more comfortable adjustment of the pillow rather than have the same firmness required for the mattress to support body weight and feel comfortable. And the straw type inflating tool works well. For anyone who’s ever inflated an air mattress without one, this makes a world of difference – so much easier, and faster. There is also a patch included. Overall, this pool air mattress feels heavier and of better quality than most of the others I have had in the past. It seems it will last longer than thinner ones that seem to spring a leak quickly. I would recommend this as a durable option. It’s been holding air for several hours so far, but I will update my review if it develops any issues.

Fun float. Difficult to deflate.
By Berkeley customer on Reviewed in the United States on April 21, 2023
We and all our neighbors use floats like this to float around on a small artificial lake on hot summer days. This one holds air and is fine for that. In agreement with its price it is of somewhat minimalist design - no arm rests or drink holders. The plastic seems thick and sturdy so it should hold up a while. We got the blue one and do not find the color attractive but that’s very subjective. The reason we have reduced the rating is that inflation, and particularly deflation, does not seem to have been fully thought out. Both require a small pen-size probe to be inserted into the plastic valve opening to open the inside flip valve. One of these probes is included with the float but one wonders how long it will be before it is lost. When inflating by mouth or pump, which is tedious, the inside flip valve does not close right away so you have to hurriedly try to close the outside of the valve so not too much air escapes. Full deflation, which requires the same probe, is almost impossible. Because of the way the tubes are connected at the bottom of the float and not at the top, where the valve is, you cannot roll the float up to squeeze out the air as that stops the flow between the tubes, making it difficult to impossible to fully deflate the float for transport or storage. The valve opening is small and it takes quite a while to force out the air you can get out. We have other air-inflatable water “toys” that have large stoppers that you just unscrew to deflate, a much better design. Also, because there is only one of the pen-size probes you cannot deflate the main float and the pillow, which has separate valve, at the same time. If being able to fully deflate the float in reasonable time is important to you, look for a different float.
