Reliable and Robust – Perfect for ANY camera
By jtamu11! on Reviewed in the United States on July 27, 2024
I recently upgraded my memory card for my 70Mai dashcam to the SAMSUNG PRO Endurance 128GB MicroSDXC Memory Card, and I couldn’t be happier. The Class 10, U3, V30 rating ensures fast and smooth recording, even in high-definition. The write speed is impressive, making sure all recordings are seamless and uninterrupted which is obviously important if it’s for a dashcam or security camera. This card is built for continuous recording, and its endurance is impressive. I don’t even begin to worry about my footage being overwritten and eventually corrupting the SD card. The included adapter is a handy bonus, making it versatile for use in various devices, and allowing it to be used in most PCs nowadays, so that I can download the footage if needed. Installation is obviously a breeze, there’s only one way to insert it haha! The image quality remains consistently high, capturing clear and detailed footage. Samsung’s service has been excellent, providing a product that lives up to its promises. The quality of this memory card is evident in its robust design, reliable performance, and ability to overwrite data continuously without corrupting the card and being unable to format it. Overall, while it is a little pricey, there are certain products in our lives that quality actually matters, this is one of those products. If you need a reliable and durable memory card for your dashcam or ANY camera (i.e. a GoPro) whether you’re overwriting often or not. Spend the money because this is definitely an excellent choice and I personally recommend it! After all, for a high quality camera, you usually spend a lot. So you think of it as “you put good in/you get good out” Idk if my opinion matters too much to customers, but if a product stinks, I’m going to tell the truth.

Poor Performance at Higher Cost
By E. Barnes on Reviewed in the United States on July 11, 2025
Bought the 256GB one to use in my Viofo A229 dash camera. Worked well for a bit, but had to be retired after only a year as files either weren't saving or were becoming corrupted. Due to budget reasons at the time, I replaced it with a 256GB High Endurance microSD card from TeamGroup instead. I honestly expected the Samsung to beat the TeamGroup card, but it actually loses in every category except warranty (the 256GB Samsung card has a 5 year warranty, the TeamGroup 256GB card only has a 2 year warranty). According to Crystal Disk Mark, the Samsung card is slower than the TeamGroup card, despite being priced about 50% more than the TeamGroup card. I only tested write speed since that's what matters for a dashcam. Sequential writes were slightly slower on the Samsung, but random writes were much slower than the TeamGroup card. So who came out on top? --Write Speed (seq.): TeamGroup (4.5% faster) --Write Speed (random): TeamGroup (43.2% faster) --Value for Money: TeamGroup ($18 versus Samsung's $28) --Warranty: Samsung (5 years versus TeamGroup's 2 years) See included screenshot for test results. A Note About Warranties: Warranties on flash media like these microSD cards are largely irrelevant. If the card fails, your data is lost, and it's your data that matters, not the card. These microSD cards have gotten so cheap, that replacing a failed card costs about as much as a Big Mac (at McDonalds' current high-end sit-down restaurant pricing), also making the warranty much less useful. If these cards cost $50 or more like they used to, the warranty would be a bigger consideration, but as prices are at the time of this writing, they just aren't. So while the Samsung card may have suffered a failure of some kind that has reduced its performance instead of rendering it completely unusable, thereby making it possibly eligible for replacement under Samsung's warranty, the fact that it happened after only 1 year of use and a better-performing card is much cheaper, coupled with the headache of dealing with bad customer service, means the longer warranty is... irrelevant. * Test Details: Test PC Specs: Intel i7-14700K 64GB 6400MT DDR5 RAM Samsung 980 Pro 2TB m.2 NVMe System Drive UGreen USB 3.0 Card Reader connected to USB 3.0 port Crystal Disk Mark Configuration: version 9.0.1 Settings > Test Data > Default (Random) Settings > Flash Memory Profile > Default Profile > Write [+Mix] Test Count: 9 (Maximum) Test Size (Data): 1 GB** ** Technically, it's 1 GiB, but I'm writing for the average person for whom GB is more recognizable and easier to understand than GiB. Since my dashcam is currently configured to write files that are close to 900 MB in size, I chose the 1GB (1,000 MB) option for testing.
