responsive, quick. Good machine for most needs, see data sheet link for details
By Precise Disarray on Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2022
Not sure why anyone thought this is a touchscreen. Nowhere does it mention it. Take a look under "Product Guides and Documents", which you can find just above the review section. There you will see is a highlighted link to the "SPECIFICATION SHEET (PDF)". Click on that, and it will tell you even more detail about this machine than what is already outlined in the product description. And because of that, I wont rehash all what this has. But look for that link so you can decide if it has what you need!!! For those saying that this does not have a finger print ID? YES IT DOES. Search for it in your settings. IT IS A SETTING that you must set up. Hit the magnifying glass icon, then type in "fingerprint sign-in". Follow instructions. Can also set for using a PIN, which I do. Overall, it is a good basic laptop. Enough memory to load some photos and videos, plenty of processing power for a lot of basic uses: watching video, email, internet browsing, low end games. Likely good for most school needs, and some office needs. I haven't pushed it to the max because my needs are fairly low end. I have a separate high end desktop for true gaming needs, and for mega storage. Cant blame a machine for not doing what you want if you dont know anything about it to start. Learn what 8 gb ram is and what 512 gb ssd can do for you, and know what your needs are. Work up, or down from there. This seemed to be the sweet spot for my casual needs. It runs smoothly, quietly, and cool. Battery lasts a long while, which is nice for on the go use. Your experience may vary. Depends on what you are doing, your settings, etc. Very responsive, though like I said I havent put it through the paces. Even Microsoft Edge is blazing quick and easy to use. I had it on my last laptop (half the memory and processing) and it was all I could run. I figured I would be switching to firefox, but I keep using Edge without issue. Responsive touchpad, though since I prefer using a mouse I turned off the touchpad. Optional backlit keyboard. Can turn on or off, or up at any time with press of button Quickly boots up, good instant connectivity Speakers are fine. Crisp. They are perfectly good, and offer some mild range. They dont make my ears bleed when I watch a music video. ONLY thing I have experienced that has been bothersome is that sometimes my "m" key doesnt register. I will be typing along, and the letter m did not actually type. However, it is hit and miss, and it might be a matter of how I am sitting or something. I havent had the experience while writing this review. Unless you notice missing m's that I didnt. I' pleased. So far so good. I am giving it 5 stars (4.5 if we could do half ratings), and am giving it that for the CLASS of laptop, and that it is what the product description says it is. Minor annoyances regarding anti virus, updates, microsoft stuff is typical across computers. All in all, it is what I expected, nothing negative that I can think of, and if I experience anything else worth sharing--good, bad, or otherwise-- I will do so. I keep up with my reviews. I am an avid reviewer and aim to be helpful as much as possible.

False advertised as new arrived non-functional w/ shell cracked open, unresponsive to refund request
By Nicole Henderson on Reviewed in the United States on February 9, 2023
This item was advertised as new, but arrived in a damaged shell that had been taken apart and put back together inexpertly, according to a computer repair professional (see photos). When I turned the laptop on, it would only go to a screen announcing "this item is damaged." The computer repair professional informed me that the system could not find the hard drive, and from the damage to the shell and computer response, the laptop had obviously been opened and messed with (probably refurbished) then closed again and resold as "new." The touchpad was also not even functioning, and the repair guy had to plus in a mouse in order to even try to navigate the "error" screens. When contacted for a refund, the seller did not respond. PURCHASE ITEMS FROM THIS SELLER AT YOUR OWN RISK, this seller is obviously selling refurbished items as new items, and doing a bad job both at refurbishing them, AND at a bad job at covering their tracks.
