Beurer BR10 Insect Bite Healer

This thing absolutely works. I am terrorized by mosquitos and no-see-ums. The get huge, itchy welts. This contraption, used directly on the welt , immediately kills the itch. But, it is quite a little intense HOT spot when working. It have found that you need to press it super hard on the spot, hold your breath and then wait for the beep to signal your pain and itchiness are OVER. Would I use it on a kid? No. Am I a wuss? I don’t think so. It is blindingly hot when the batteries are fresh. But it has to be HOT to kill the itch. Do I like the white hot pain? Not really. Ok, maybe a little. But I prefer the 5 seconds of heat over and endless evening of scratching that seems to go on forever. Topical sprays never work and downing Benadryl like tic-tacs makes for a sluggish evening. So, I carry one of these things with me everywhere. It doesn’t leave a mark. If you feel like it isn’t hot—probably time to change the batteries!
