I grew up in the era and staying warm mint wearing a puff jacket with down. This jacket is very thin in comparison yet it was just as warm and far easier to keep cool with the armpit zippers. Love the design, absolutely love the number of pockets. Definitely a good buy!

I would expect a little more from spyder, it's made well enough but the wimpy zipper they installed doesn't seem like it's going to work more than 1 or 2 seasons. If they're going to make upper shelf ski gear, they should consider beefier upper shelf zippers.
