Want To Waste Your Time? Buy A Samsung!
By Dog Lady on Reviewed in the United States on December 14, 2022
Bought this TV on Black Friday, it arrived Monday 11/28. Set it up, no picture. Did troubleshooting, contacted help online, did more troubleshooting, they said I would need a technician to come out from Samsung Care. Appointment set for Friday 12/2. Upon arriving, technician told me it was probably going to be 1 of 3 possible issues, but he was only provided with 2 of those 3 solutions at his disposal. He said, "Let's hope it is one of these 2 things." It wasn't. It was the third thing. He didn't have the part needed. So, I made another appointment with him. He booked me for Tuesday 12/6. On Monday afternoon, I asked about my appointment, which I was then told it wasn't Tuesday anymore, it was Thursday 12/8. On the morning of Thursday 12/8, I was notified that the part had not yet arrived, so my appointment was being cancelled and would need to later be rescheduled. That was 3 TIMES I made arrangements to not be working, to be home for WHATEVER time they're going to come over (don't set times beforehand) and they couldn't fix the issue. At the writing of this review, I am awaiting my 4th appointment which should fix the issue. They informed me they will have the part this time. They had no answer as to why they made appointments beforehand without having the part available and had no explanation as to why they would do that and then cancel. I was informed by Samsung Care, that Samsung is taking a very long time to deliver the part needed. Apparently, there might be some backlog, lots of orders for this part. Meaning, a lot of TV's are going out with the same issue that I had and all need the part replaced. I cannot even review the picture quality because 2 1/2 weeks later, and 3 appointments later, I still have not gotten my TV working due to a combination of Samsung delivering me a fraction of a TV, their slowness in delivering a part to Samsung Care, and Samsung Care setting up appointments and not even having everything they need for an appointment. In all honesty, when the TV is working, I am sure it will look good. I don't think it's blowing any of the competition out of the water. I am sure if you get any other brand of Smart TV, it will look just as good. They'll all be about the same in terms of quality. So, do yourself a favor, don't waste your time with Samsung sending broken TV's and with Samsung Care who does not Care if they make you take 4 days off of work and reschedule your life around appointments in which they cancel, reschedule, or just are not able to complete the task. This is by far, the WORST service I've ever received. This is probably one of the WORST products I've bought in recent memory. It's a brand new TV, it should show up working, or it should be fixed at a FIRST appointment. Not a FOURTH (That is, if the fourth one actually does the trick.) Seriously, stays away from Samsung. There are no positives here that you can't get from another brand. And it's too much of a gamble buying these fractional products. I will say, technicians and customer service at Samsung Care are nice... it's just that their company is horrendous.
