Bialetti Coffee Makers Spare Parts

As others stated its smaller than the original gasket and filter for the Mini Express. The packaging says Mini Express is supported though. What i notice is, if i use the new filter with the new gasket, it seals up just fine and still works without losing pressure even though it doesn't cover the full width underneath the spout. If i had to theorize why they made it smaller - possibly because the original larger gasket which is pretty much and exact fit, ends up getting gooey overtime (because of the heat) and it melts and lodges itself into the rivets/grooves when you tighten it. For me over time, it got permanently stuck on the underneath of the spout part, and was impossible to take off without pulling the gasket apart. This becomes a cleaning problem, and mold can start to build up. So my theory is, they made it smaller to avoid that scenario, and its just big enough to still function.
