Update: downgraded to 1 star.The camera now just turns off completely on its own and is totally unreliable. We tried Turing it off the on, resetting it uninstalling the app. Nothing works. Whether the camera works or not it totally random. Do not recommend at allOriginal review:When we first got the owlet I loved it. The video quality is good and it’s very sensitive so it will send notifications for movement and noise as well as will as crying. My original issue was that the video world never load unless my cell phone was connected to am WiFi; if it’s on days the video won’t load. So if I go out, I have no video access. Not ideal, but the notifications still get sent so not awful. Would have given an 7-8/10.But, then we moved our baby into her own room and we’d use the owlet as a sound only baby monitor during the night. Except you can’t because at some point during the night, every night, the sound stops working and you can’t hear if your baby is crying. Kinda the whole point of the device!! We can’t work out why it happens. It never did when we were using ID for naps during the day. But it seems that if you have it running for several hours, at some point the sound will stop. SUPER ANNOYING and basically voids the whole product. If it can’t work as a basic sound only baby monitor over night, why would you pay so much money for it?! So, with this in mind - it’s a 3/10 for me. Get something else.
