I have 6 indoor/outdoors wyze cams that work great. I also have had 4 outdoor cams connected to 4 Solar panels all 10 on the plus plan for a year in June. I have had zero issues out of the indoor/ outdoor cams. Some are inside and some are outside where they are either under my deck, on my deck or in my screened in area. (All covered areas but still outside). Now my outdoor cams after almost a year of having I absolutely would NOT recommend. The base constantly has to be reset I am now having to reset the base every 3-4 days. I originally thought the cams were too far from the base. The base I have in my foyer which is front of house dead center. I had a camera at each corner. I moved the two in the front to the front door facing either direction literally a door way away from the base. You can see the signal in photo. Mind you this photo was taken and it shows signal to the cameras except one, there isn’t a signal it’s a totally froze screen none of the cameras are online. If I were to click on one of the cameras it would be a frozen screen from yesterday sometime. I have to go downstairs unplug wait and plug back in for it to work. It will work about three to four days and I’ll have to do the same thing again. I would just buy the indoor/ outdoor ones to replace them but they do not work off of Solar. Extreme disappointment, I’m a patient and humble dude but these things not working will make you throw your hands up because there it’s absolutely nothing you can do other than unplug the base and plug it back in. Reset never works. Please take my advice and don’t get the outdoor cams. Buy the indoor/outdoor and save yourself from any trouble. *Update January 7, 2024* I wouldn’t recommend these cameras nor would I recommend the panv2 as I now have two giving me issues with one coming and going and the second one telling me it can not recognize the network. I’m already bald or I would pull my hair out. I haven’t had outdoor cameras since 12/23/2022 they absolutely just will not connect to the base. The camera only gives one option and that’s to reset which it won’t do because it is not connecting to give me the option of resetting. I also payed 12/1/2024 for another years worth of plus on all cameras, yea dumb decision however they were doing ok at the time. Paying for a service your not receiving really bites. I would recommend the indoor/outdoor cams HOWEVER at this point I wouldn’t recommend anything camera wise from Wyze. I have a spot light and two scales that work great. Just don’t do it save yourself the headache and buy a legit brand.

Avoid Wyze products. This product does not work and customer service is worthless.

If I could have given this product zero stars, I would have. Be VERY careful about ordering Wyze products. If you do order a Wyze product, Install it immediately and make sure it's working. Don't wait for Wyze to stall you with promises of a fix for your problem until you can't return the product to Amazon. They have lousy customer service and will cheat you. I have two previous Wyze Outdoor cameras that worked reasonably well. These are unfortunately discontinued. When I attempted to order a third one, the only type that was available was their version 2 Outdoor cam with color night vision. It does not detect motion. (the product above.) IT DOES NOT DETECT MOTION! It has not once successfully detected motion. The only way one can get it to make a video is to write a rule that if another of your Wyze cameras fires, it should trigger this one to make a video. Otherwise it doesn't work at all. When I talked to Joel at Customer Service, (the third call my husband and I made in the three weeks we attempted to get this problem solved, and it was clear that Wyze had no solution for the defective camera, he first tried to avoid my question of how many others had experienced the same problem I had, but when I pressed him repeatedly, he admitted that many others had had the same problem. In other words, Wyze rushed this camera to production before making sure it actually worked. Joel refused to authorize a refund of the amount I paid for the camera, saying he was only authorized to give me a gift card. I asked to speak to his supervisor, which just got me put on hold for five minutes or more. (This happened repeatedly during my conversaiton with him. No supervisor was ever made available for me to talk to. Their MO is to wear down customers so they don't make legitimate requests for compensation for their shoddy products. I sent Joel all the into he needed to issue a gift card, and when I received an email today, I found that I was shorted by ~$25.00. The gift card they issued me was for far less than the amount I spent on the product. Beware. If you buy a Wyze product, you may very well own an expensive brick that does not do what it is advertised to do. You've been warned.
