Dog Car Seat Center Console

My 10lb chihuahua/terrier mix, anxious shelter rescue, wouldn’t stay in the passenger seat. He only wanted to be in my lap. That was unsustainable in terms of safety for either of us. I tried this dog car seat and crossed my fingers. He likes it! He’s close enough to me to lick my shoulder and satisfy his need for proximity and he loves the view from this vantage point! The attached leash is adjustable and works great. It seems a bit fragile but it held up to his attempts to leave before I unhooked him. You can see by the pictures that it is a small seat. It would fit a larger dog but not too much larger. The sides are soft so would push out to accommodate. This is in my infinite QX70, a small suv crossover. It is longer than the console by 2-3 inches. There are 3 wide, sturdy Velcro straps but that didn’t stop forward/backward motion so I put the long carry straps over the head rests on either side and now the seat rides very securely. I’m pretty thrilled with this!
