Great rechargeable handheld spotlight
By Bingo on Reviewed in the United States on October 11, 2022
Shipped fast. Inside the cardboard shipping box, the spotlight had nice packaging, suitable for a nice gift. On a full charge, I operated the light for 45 continuous minutes of outdoor work, and it still had plenty of remaining power for a camping trip the next weekend. After long use, I was also happy to find it was cool to the touch. Some other rechargeable lights get very hot after several minutes of use, but not this one. The flashlight pattern is a tight spot. Not a wide flood pattern. So you get a tight beam of light that is great for spotting at long distances. I was able to use this spotlight to clearly see the top branches of tall oak trees at night, at least 80' up. Would also be great for emergency signaling over long distances. It has three settings. High beam, low beam, and off. The switch to select brightness is a nice trigger. Nice and simple to operate. It comes with a red filter for emergency signaling. It is solidly built. Almost rugged. Should hold up to day to day bumps and bangs. Good for a work light, off-road driving, or animal spotting. The charging port on the spotlight is a female USB socket. So to charge it, you need to use the included Male to Male USB cord (not USB-C or micro USB). Full size USB. So if you take this spotlight on a longer trip, you will need to remember the unique charging cord. I will update this review if any durability issues show up after more use. But after several days of active use, I really like this spotlight. I think it is a good value.

Takes a long time to charge, surprising spark from switch
By Matt B on Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2022
VECTOR LED Flashlight Spotlight, SL10LEDV, Rechargeable, Super Bright 2200 Lumens, USB Charging Port + USB Powerbank for Device Charging The vector LED spotlight comes packaged in a standard retail box with pictures and specifications for the lamp on the back and sides. Opening the package, inside the clamshell and cardboard enclosure. There is the handheld spotlight itself, a wall adapter for charging, a lighter adapter to charge from your car, the charging cable, and a folded instruction booklet. A bit unusual in the charging cable, it is a male USB on both ends. I like that they have included a wall adapter and a car adapter so you can recharge the spotlight anywhere you go. Folding out the instruction pamphlet, there is lots of fine print and warnings and larger letters. They tell you specifically to read all the instructions before using. It's in English on the front of the page and Spanish on the back. Looking at the lamp, it appears that it arrived to me with the battery completely discharged. I find that a bit unusual, as most rechargeable items that I get to have at least some charge on the battery. When I plugged in the USB charger, there is a tiny red LED that looks like it was mounted just inside the USB port so you can see it flashing when you charge, and it is flashing a slow red light. According to the instructions, that means the battery needs to be recharged. According to the instructions, it will flash orange when the battery is low, green when the battery is in a "high partially charged state" and it will glow green solid when it is fully charged. I didn't see anything in the instructions about how long it will take the charge, so I guess we will see. Leaving on the charge, after 2 hours it was still blinking red. When I checked on it after six hours, it was solid red, so I’m assuming that’s a full charge indication, Unplugging it from charge, when I pressed the USB button on the back, it glowed green showing a full charge. Since it was dark, I decided to play with the flashlight a bit and try it out. The red signaling lens on the business end of the lamp is a bit difficult to pop off, but I guess that means it'll stay on there. The first pull of the trigger switch gives you the brightest setting, and the second pull dims it down to about half power. Something I noticed while using the light, when I was clicking the switch between the different settings, I could see a spark inside the unit through the opening where the USB connects. I'm presuming it's arcing like a drill. Well sometimes because the connection for the switch is not smooth. I'm a little concerned that this will cause premature wear, and would definitely recommend being certain to not use this anywhere. There is flammable vapor in the air. Turning the light on and exploding flammable vapor. Due to that spark. And the possible explosion, make me think it sounds like a bad movie plot. Don't be a bad movie.
