Vertx Gamut Checkpoint Backpack

Overall the sleek design and ripstop material is excellent for crashing through the woods while TDY running alongside soldiers in the Ft. Benning woods and the tiger stripe camo pattern is awesome, however the tapered design does limit what i can or cannot pack into the main compartment, the lack of external accessory panels does make for a nice streamlined fit that doesn't snag against thick vines or brush but that also has it's drawbacks. the padded back panel is great for fitting clipboards and folders and the side pouches can fit an insulated 1L water container but are very hard to reach.But all in all it is a decent day pack but i will not go as far as to call it a ruck sack and I'd probably be better off getting an old GI-type assault pack for future TDYs
