Great ice maker and customer service

We've had the ice maker since March 2022, and have loved it. It's great soft ice, and it's (normally) not very loud. In July 2022, we started hearing a louder screeching and grinding noise. I sent a message to customer service (via Amazon), and within 24 hours, they let us know to: "Unplug the power supply, open the glass cover, leave it for more than 4 hours to melt the ice naturally, and then press the cleaning button for 3 seconds, the machine will enter the defrosting mode." This helped. We also noticed that it started to leak. After contacting customer service on Amazon, a replacement machine was sent.

Waste of money. TERRIBLE customer service.

I bought this unit back in June of 2022. It made wonderful nugget ice, but was a bit loud, so I requested a replacement, but when it arrived, it had some "damage" or perhaps just poor quality control, because it had some dents and protruding deformations in the stainless steel that were unsightly, so I decided to send it back and keep the 1st one I received. We tolerated the noise. It worked fine, as far as making ice is concerned. Come January 2023, all of the sudden it started making a screeching noise and stopped making ice. I contacted customer service and was told to unplug it for several hours and run the 'CLEAN' function multiple times, which I did. Afterwards, it made about 10 individual nuggets and stopped working again. I repeated the process a couple more times to no avail. Customer service will not honor their 2 year warranty. They are making false claims about the transaction and are telling me that I received a refund for the until which I didn't. I am still paying almost $40 a month for it and will continue to pay until June 2023. They also told me that they didn't receive the unit that I sent back, or so that's what I assume they're saying, because they told me that they are out 2 units and also issued a refund, which again, they did not. After I sent them screenshots of my order history and payment history to Affirm, they are no longer responding to my messages. Stay FAR AWAY from this ice maker and company. UPDATE! I called Amazon customer service and after explaining everything to them and how I just want/need a replacement, they said that since the unit had already been "replaced" they couldn't replace it again. I explained to them over and over about how I didn't accept the replacement, it was damaged, so I returned it and kept the 1st unit I received and even if I had accepted the replacement. What about the 2 year warranty? To make this already long and frustrating story shorter, Amazon finally did the right thing and refunded my money. However, at the time of writing this update, no refund has been processed. I just hope that it goes smoothly from here on out. Now I'm off to research OTHER brands of pellet ice makers.
