Amazing technology

I got this robot back in August 2023This is our third vacuum robot, the first 2 were ok but this one...the other two do NOT compare to this one. I selected the one that do not have a self cleaning base, I don't mind emptying the collecting canister, which, by the way, is very small.The technology is amazing, but not perfect. The laser radar system is AWESOME with big, medium and even some small objects, but when it comes to cables, make sure that they are not on the ground when the robot is cleaning. We use wee wee pads for our dogs, and those are not recognized either. But besides that, this robot is amazing.When it comes to the wee wee pads, we have two in the home, so I put a "no go zone" where they are and the robot will not bump into them. The mapping its amazing and the robot cleans systematically room by room. When the robot does the first mapping you can name each room, you can schedule the robot to do cleanings either for all the rooms or just some of the rooms in the house. The robot recognizes carpet and will increase power suction when is on carpet surfaces, then when it goes back to floor (tile in my case) it will resume the default suction power. You can set up no go zones and invisible walls that work perfectly. During the cleaning, you can open the app and see your map and see where the robot is. There is also a remote Control option. Once the robot finishes cleaning, it will go back to the base, directly to the base, not wondering all over the house until it finds it, nope, the robot actually makes a bee line towards the charging base. The robot has also a robot voice and will send you notifications to your phone when it start cleaning, if they are being obstructed and when they are finish cleaning and going back to the base.The app is easy to set up and if you play with it, there are multiple options and choices to chose from. I think you can change the direction that the robot sues to clean, but I am satisfied with how the robot do the cleaning so I haven't felt the need to change it.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

Q5 not as good as my old S5

My S5 stopped working after 4.5 yrs. I loved the S5 even though the initial setup was a nightmare & the app. was limited functionality.PROS:This new Q5 was easy-peasy to set up. The app. is a nice design and easy to use.The dust bin on the Q5 is larger than my old S5, which is great.The Q5? twirling side brushes are longer that the S5 & does a great job sweeping up anything along the base of the Kitchen Counters. Excellent!The Q5 app. has a “no-go zone” feature that you can set up rather than having to lay down rubber strips. I really like this feature which allows me keep the robovac away from the Recliner cord.CONS:The Q5 Dust Bin is just about impossible to remove without spilling some of the dirt inside the robovac. I have to use a wet wipe to clean out the inside every time I empty the bin. Really poorly designed.The Q5 Max setting is not as powerful as the S5 Turbo setting. Disappointing. I have 1 room with wall-to-wall carpet that I still have to manually vac after the Q5 is done.The Q5 is hit-or-miss navigating my kitchen anti-fatigue mat. Sometimes it navigates the 1/2 inch transition & sometimes it treats it as an object & goes around it. I did not have this problem with the S5.The Q5 will not transition onto the memory foam bath mat. It treats it as an object & goes around it. I did not have this problem with the S5.I got a great price on the Q5 on Amazon. I can tolerate the Q5 not cleaning the kitchen & bath mats. Annoying, but not a deal breaker. I can tolerate having to manually vac the rug in a small bedroom. However, the Q5 Dust Bin spilling contents inside the robovac is big design flaw, imo. I never had that issue with the S5 & it is a big problem that should have been corrected before putting this on the market, therefore only 3 Stars for my review.Nov 14, 2023: What a total piece of crap. Stopped working through the phone app. about 2 weeks ago, so I had to use the button on the vac to operate it manually. Manually, it did a random job of cleaning the 3 rooms in my small apartment. this April 11, 2023. As of today, It will no longer connect to WiFi and will not run manually. Press the button & it tells me to reconnect. What a piece of crap. Died after 6 months.DO NOT BUY
