Good controller but analog did not last long
By Alex on Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2022
I ordered this controller August 2nd. Went on vacation for 3 weeks so the controller was not used during that time. Then on October 3rd, the controller developed severe stick drift even after increasing the dead zone from 1% to 10%. I ended up having to order replacement sticks for $50! Otherwise this controller has been amazing, extremely responsive buttons, nice feel, the analogs are top notch aside from one failing so soon. UPDATE: Thrustmaster immediately sent a replacement stick. Very good support and response time. I took the old analog and tore it down and took an alcohol swap to the encoder disk on both potentiometers which fixed the issue in 5 min. Seems there was some foreign metallic debris likely from manufacturing that was throwing off the encoder.

Yeah...Don't get baited. Stay away from this controller

TL;DR This is a trap item. DO NOT BUY I've had this controller for about 2 years now. And whenever I use it for any game that requires the full capacity of it, I'm always disappointed. 2 months in, both my sticks had drift, and now after barely using it one of the triggers has drift too. This is just insane to me how low quality this item is for a pro controller. In comparison to my PS4 and Switch Pro controllers, which are more than 3xs the age of this one, and around the same price point they are still completely fine. Here are the Pros: 1. Good looking controller 2. Mechanical Face Buttons 3. Hot-Swappable Sticks 4. Mechanical D-Pad 5. Wired Now...Here are the Cons: 1. Terrible Base sticks. Horrible Horrible drift even worse than the Nintendo Joy-cons. Failed within the very first couple months with very very light use. I'm not kidding. 2. Terrible Trigger buttons. Even these can drift somehow. I've never heard of or experienced trigger drift before this controller. The drift is so very bad. 3. Face buttons, shoulder buttons and D-pad, though mechanical feel mushy 4. Terrible mapping software (adjusting deadzones to deal with the drift doesn't seem to do much of anything when using controller in games, even though the GUI of the mapper shows you otherwise) 5. No wireless option (no wireless on ANY of thrustmaster's controllers.) 6. Responsiveness feels questionable even though it sports some of the the lowest latency around coupled with one of the highest polling rates of any controller (this might be subjective). Feels inconsistent even though its wired. 7. The better H2 & H5 stick modules can cost up to 3/4 the amount of the eswap S ($65) at the time of writing this review--which is now almost half less than what I bought it for in 2023 ($115); the H2 & H5 sticks are $39.99 8. For certain games Thrustmapper Triggers the anti-cheat Do not buy this controller unless you got money and time to waste.
