Probably the best purchase of my life
By Audrey H on Reviewed in the United States on May 8, 2023
Before I bought this, I would set an alarm for an hour before I needed to leave for work and hit snooze until I only had 5 minutes to get completely ready. As a result, I was at least 5 minutes late to work every day. Enter the sunrise alarm clock. This morning I woke up at 5am well rested. I read a chapter in a book, played with my dog, made coffee, and got to work early. The best part? This thing will pay for itself in no time just because I’m getting to work on time. Amazing. The clock was easy to set up, the instructions were very straightforward. It will store two alarms, so I’ve set one to use on weekdays and the other for weekends. The brightness is adjustable so it makes a nice night light or bedside lamp. None of the alarm sounds are unpleasant, and you have several options to choose from. The volume for all alarms is adjustable. It also serves as a white noise machine with several different options. As a bonus, it has a battery back up so if the power goes out all of your settings are not lost. In summary, this alarm is making my mornings so much easier. If it ever dies, I will absolutely buy it again.

Someone will like it, but not me
By A. Olson on Reviewed in the United States on October 26, 2021
This product was not a winner for me, so it's going back, but it's not 100% bad. These were the pros and cons for me: Pros -Not as bright as my regular bedtime lamp, but still bright enough to read by at bedtime. -The wake up light does a really nice fade from orange to white light, and you can pick a shorter or longer brighten up period before the alarm sounds -Nice alarm tone options, and you can set the alarm volume -Good price point compared to similar lights -You can dim the clock or turn it off entirely if you like a dark room Cons -The buttons are SO, SO tiny. Eleven(!) different buttons circling the outer rim of this thing. No amount of muscle memory can help you when you are flailing around drowsily to figure out what button is what. -The base is too small, so when you are flailing around drowsily trying to find the right button, the lamp will fall over. -Did I mention the 11 buttons? And the little icons they use, sheesh. This is the first gadget I've purchased in a long time that is so counter-intuitive I actually had to read every step of the manual to set it up. -Remember how I said you can turn the clock all the way off if you like it dark? Well, good luck with all those tiny buttons finding the right one to check the time in the middle of the night if you decided to turn it off -The wake up light part. Ok, so this is why I bought the thing to begin with--I have such a hard time waking in the dark of winter--and the functionality was a huge miss for me. First off, the light isn't all that bright to begin with, so it doesn't really make it bright enough to help me wake unless I'm facing right toward it in my sleep. But, the even bigger problem is that it turns itself off a few minutes after the alarm goes off (maybe 10 minutes?). So, the first time I used it, I laid in bed waking up to the soft light and bird chirping noises, and I still wasn't 100% awake, then the thing turned off completely after a couple minutes and I fell right back asleep. The second day, I hit the snooze hoping that would cue the bird chirping noises to snooze for a few minutes, but the snooze turns the light off too, so again I fell back asleep until the alarm sounded again. For someone, the things that irked me won't be deal breakers, but for me this was a miss for both design and functionality.
