PopSockets Translucent Phone Grip with Expanding Kickstand

edit: I removed the base (if you bend the case a bit, you can get the base off pretty easily). I like the idea a lot, but it was making my phone noticeably heavier (enough that my hand would hurt, which it never did before with the popsocket). And I started to notice that my phone was HOT. Normally, it gets a bit hot when I play certain games but with the base attached it was OVERHEATING. Like, I’m pretty sure screen-damage hot (there’s a faint shadow line along the left side of the screen bow). It was searing to the touch, my phone was lagging hard. Changed to my old case (nothing on it), everything fine. Put my case on with only the metal ring adapter, also fine. So, I’ve removed a star because it might be a combination of my phone model (11) and case material (TPU), but I’m too nervous to keep it on. If I want to change my popsocket to another case, I’ll do it the old fashioned way and get some dental floss and new adhesive stickers. My top is swappable if I wanna change just that and not the case, so. It’s fine enough. Maybe I’ll use it in the future if I get an actual MagSafe case. - I got this because I wanted to covert a case and make it so I could swap out my popsocket to a new one eventually. Also my old normal popsocket broke and I’m tired of adhdsive ones. I managed to break the top at first. The entire rubber came off the base. Despite all attempts with pliers and prying, I couldn’t fix it. I ended up buying a popsocket to replace that part. The ring it comes with is white. I found it ugly on a clear case. Despite that, I figured the popsocket would be over top so it could be ignored. The template they give you SUCKS, though. I don’t understand the numbers. My phone lines up 1-1-1-4. The 4 is the top. Is that right? Should it be something different? Who knows. There’s nothing to help you. It just says depending on model but explains nothing, so I ended up winging it and getting rid of that template. Well, then I got it crooked, so I had to rip it off with adhesive remover and tweezers. So, a plus is that it does stick pretty good. Minus a star because the template is horrid. It was THAT much of an irritation. I slapped the magnet (with the base, I wasn’t THAT dumb) onto my fridge for safe keeping while I got a new ring for my phone. That sucker did not come off. I had to pry it with a card and ended up digging into the rubber that protects the base from ruining the metal ring. Could’ve been worse. New ring, put the base on, and I will tell you that feel like I super glued this thing to my phone. I cannot get it off. I’m scared to keep trying. I didn’t get this with the intention to use the ring for a charger but I was hoping eventually to take off the popsocket to put on a new case. I guess I’ll cross that bridge when it comes to it. The top is swapabble, too. At least if I want to change that, I can. I put on one I had already (but I couldn’t get the cap itself to come off so, uh, my new cap is just hot glued onto it). I do wish I got the glitter one, but I could not justify spending almost $10 extra for it.
