This kettle is useful because it quickly heats up water. You can see and hear the water boiling, and when the water's boiling rapidly it shuts off automatically. It is easy to use, the plastic handle protects my hand from the heat. I think this device is well designed. It is very easy to fill up the kettle and put it on its base where it will heat up water. You can tell when you start it up because the blue light comes on.

Only lasted one year. Now it does not turn off consistently. It stays on sucking energy and posing a fire risk.
