I have had Merrell hiking boots in the past and have always fit well. I ordered the same size as I had for my last pair and as expected they fit great. They are a light weight boot so they will be Mike for long hikes. The color I got was the grey and they go good with everything I wear clothing color wise. I’ve tried other brands but not have fit as well as the Merrell boots. I would highly recommend these boots for recreational hiking. Not so sure how well they would do on something much longer but they are great for my purpose.

I think the Moab 2s are still better.

Have put about 500 miles on these boots now and can’t say I’m the biggest fan coming from the Moab 2s. These boots are great if you have a wider foot as they have a pretty wide toe box but that leads to some problems in the descent as they cause my foot to kind of slide around and bash the sides and front. That’s honestly my biggest gripe with them, is that the fit isn’t quite right unless you have wide feet. Other than that though, very durable and breathable boot and a welcome upgrade from the Moab 2s. Still the same issue as the 2 when wet, traction goes out the window but that’s most boots with the vibram soles. Just wish they fit a little better. Idk maybe I need to go down a size.
