Instant Vortex Plus 6QT ClearCook Air Fr

This is a great air fryer and I use air fryers for about 80% of my hot meals. This helps me keep my meals healthy as possible and use less electricity. The 6qt capacity is OK but I ended up buying this second INSTANT vortex plus so I can cook meats in one air fryer and veggies in the other since they cook at different speeds and temperature. Having two air fryers allows me to serve meats and veggies at the same time or one of them gets cold and I don't want to bother with reheating freshly cooked food. My other INSTANT vortex air fryer is very very similar but this Vortex Plus has glass (ClearCook) integrated so you can watch your food cook. Unfortunately, this ClearCook glass version created a problem for me: 1)The basket does not fit in my dish washer. 2)The ClearCook window is screwed into the metal of the basket which makes it hold water if you submerge to clean it. The water will get stuck between the external layer and internal layers of glass. You cannot access this space to clean it or dry it and I am not going to unscrew it either. I somewhat regret buying this ClearCook glass window version since it holds water in the glass and I can't wash it in the dish washer since it doesn't fit. I prefer my other Vortex that has no glass. Also, I recommend that you run the air fryer with only cooking oil or similar without food 2-3 times. If you use any air fryer right away without washing or pre seasoning your food will smell like plastic. Your house will smell like plastic too. I don't know of a way around this but it applies to all air fryers I assume. I still enjoy this air fryer but I wish it didn't have this glass flaw in regards to washing.
