Amazon Basics 3-Way Smart Switch

Ok the short story is this switch does not work correctly when used as a 3way with another standard 3way switch. Keep reading if you want the long story. I bought 3 of these switches to automate my shop lighting, this wasn't the first smart switch I used, I had actually already rewired this 3way circuit for a competitors brand unit that had built in domming. My shop led light would not stop flickering with the dimming circuit so I opted for this switch instead. I bring this up just to let you know that the three way circuit itself was perfectly functional. After swapping for this amazon basic switch I noticed the slave switch no longer would operate the lights. After testing the traveler wire I determined that the switch itself must be bad. I returned and bought a new one. When the new switch came, I swapped it out and everything immediately worked (almost). 90% of the time the slave switch turned the light on and off, but every once in awhile I had to turn the switch on and off multiple times to trigger a change. I didn't like it but was prepared to live with it. Because I was testing the slave operations I did not get around to adding the switch to my alexa account right away.
