TTArtisan 35mm F1.4 APS-C Fixed Len

The lens could not be trusted. I understood, and expected there to be some vignetting, especially at f/1.4 and f/2 but what I experienced was not vignetting. It almost reminded me of what happens when your shutter is out of sync with your flash. A quarter, or more, of the pic would be dark. See the sequence of pics I posted. The problem was this darkness would not happen every time at the same f-stop. Sometimes the f/4 would be fine. Too random. I would not feel comfortable taking shots and hoping everything was ok when I looked at the pictures. I didn't expect perfection for $83, but I did expect consistency. When it worked, the lens took really nice, sharp photos. But the inability to trust the lens made me return it. If f/4 was bad every time, then at least I would know to never use f/4. That wasn't the case, however. I didn't spend enough time to determine whether it has anything to do with not being exactly at the f-stop. The aperture rings has detents but it's subtle. I don't think it would matter, but what if I was actually a little past f/4? Would that cause this issue? Who knows? I never will. The lens is going back.
