Great Value for what you pay!
By Amelia E. on Reviewed in the United States on January 19, 2024
We bought this for our 8 year old for Christmas. He had a 12 year old iPad 2 that quit updating, so he couldn’t play any current games and most just stopped working. Consequently, he didn’t take care of it and broke the screen, so we purchased this tablet before forking out the money for another iPad. I am an apple snob, but I actually really like the tablet. It’s not as aesthetic as an iPad/iphone, but has all the same apps (Minecraft, among us, Roblox,) that kids are obsessed with and the screen is very high resolution. Our child is very pleased with it. It does lag some, but you can expect that paying $100 vs $500+. Overall, great kids tablet, definitely faster than the kindle fires.

Tablet Great; but support and warranty is void
By ATVRider on Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2023
This tablet is very nice and is working well for me. The issue is it did not come with a charger. Initially, I figured like a lot of companies, they are not including them anymore. In fact, if you go to the Samsung website you get a message of how they do not want the "burden" their customers with environmental issues caused by suppling chargers with their products. (Funny thing, the next paragraph says for optimal performance and safety of your device use only Samsung chargers and gives directions on how to buy one from them)In my case though, the back of the box says the charger was to be included. I decided to contact support to get one. I finally manage to get connected to a Samsung support person. I knew I was in trouble immediately as she started referring to the tablet as a phone and asked for the IMEI number (realize at this point, the only thing I have told her is I have a Samsung tablet, no details). I explained to her that tablets don’t have them. She then asked if the tablet was a “carrier or blue tooth”. I explained it was Wi-Fi. Then she wanted a serial number. After quite a while of going back and forth (mostly because she did not have a good grasp of English grammar), she finally asked for the model number (which the serial number should have given her). She came back and said they do not supply a charger with this tablet. I said the back of the box says it should have one. She went away for a long time coming back and saying she wanted a picture of the box. I asked her if she want a picture of the whole box or anything in particular. “The box” was the answer. I then asked “are you looking for where is says the charger is included? Yes. At this point, I feel like I am doing the tech support. So, I sent her a picture of the back of the box. She goes away for about 10 minutes, and comes back. She asked where I bought the tablet from. Amazon. She then proceeds to tell me that my particular tablet was not to be sold in the US and that they are not going to offer any support for the missing charger and since it was bought in the US, the warranty is void. Her exact words were – “with Amazon, you don’t know where it is coming from”. Thank you for calling Samsung support. In short, I live in the US and bought the tablet in the US AND the Amazon description clearly states this is a US version of the tablet. I am sure a ton of Samsung products are being sold on Amazon. So, I believe this “not meant for the US” policy is complete BS. Fortunately, Amazon is replacing the tablet with a new one. However, if what Samsung says is true, they are putting the customers in the middle by letting Amazon sell grey market tablets and then telling those customers you are screwed because you bought it from Amazon. Seems to be Samsung just doesn’t care about their customers. While I believe that Samsung has good products, I’ll find some other manufacturer to buy from in the future.
