HOGARLABS Dehumidifier

The first one ordered leaked water from the seams under the unit before the shut off valve triggered. Never could get the drain hose to function at all and I followed the directions perfectly - hose is downward slope. Amazon replaced it and the 2nd one arrived without any damage to packaging but upon unpacking found the inner chamber behind the bucket was cracked. The plastic used to construct this unit is very thin. Also the operation volume is loud and the bucket is made of the same flimsy plastic that gives/bends if squeezed too tight pushing the water over the edges as you walk to empty it and there is NO handle to carry it. The bucket is very small for a unit designed for 3500 Sq. Ft. But then again if the bucket were any larger it would certainly break under the added volume while emptying. Manueverability?? It has rollers that work very well and a handle to move it around but if you have to lift it or carry it up/down stairs it is very heavy!! Maybe they were trying to reduce the weight of the machine by using thinner plastic which cracks easily. I purchased this unit to use in addition to the Home dehumidifier purchased 2 years ago. That unit has not been a disappointment at all!! While the Home product doesn't have a handle to move it around it DOES have a nicely constructed bucket with a handle! I will be ordering another Home product to replace this failed purchase.
