TP-Link Deco Whole Home WiFi System

Our house is a cell phone and wifi graveyard. There is only one room where we get good signal in this house and it's so frustrating. I have tried wifi extenders but it got so frustrating having to switch between different networks depending on where you were in the house. Did some research and found out we needed a Mesh system. I found this for super cheap as it was a refurbished product but honestly it looked brand new to me. It was so simple to set up and it actually WORKS! We have great signal strength in all rooms with no switching.

In case anyone was wondering, I can confirm that even the main unit can be added onto an existing Deco system, so that other review isn't accurate. You have to choose the right Deco when adding them though and I think the extender one was the M3 series and the tall main unit was a Deco 4E or 4R...or something like that (says on the bottom of device). Added them to my main X55 Deco and both worked with no problems, so it's a nice and cheap way to expand your network, but I did notice there's no beam-forming option like there would be if I had two X55 units, so these might "dumb down" your existing setup a little if that matters to you.

I changed from a regular router to TPLink Mesh System and my Wi-Fi coverage really improved. I live in a 1 level 2400’ house. No more drop out or dead spots.

I bought this to extend my Wi-Fi range to cover my whole house. I live in a brick and concrete house with multi floor. I live in a brick and concrete house with multi floor. My wireless router is on the top floor. I connected this advice, but I did not reach the bottom floor of my house.

Aunque la descripción dice que es renovado con todo el soporte del manufacturero, tuve problemas con la adopción del equipo y lo peor de todo es que los puertos de LAN son 10/100 y no 1000 (1GbE) como lo anuncian. Lo se porque tengo el mismo equipo (que btw lo compré nuevo y nunca tuve éste problema) e hice las pruebas de velocidad y tanto el Transfer Rate de data como la velocidad de Internet, no pasan de 100MB

If you purchase these as an expansion for your DECO system, be aware the larger "base" unit works only as a WIFI extender, and not as an actual part of the mesh system using a dedicated communication channel with the existing base. The smaller unit will connect with both the base and an existing mesh system, so that is good. For a smaller apartment or house with connectivity issues, this would work just fine, and is indeed expandable.

Tenía mis dudas al comprar algo refurbished pero es realmente nuevo. Funciona perfecto
