My husband loves New Balance tennis shoes. He's an avid runner, and this gives him the perfect support he needs when he runs. He chose a darker color so that if they did happen to get dirty, it wouldn't be so noticeable. He wears a 9.5, and they were the right size. We buy most our shoes from Amazon and have never had any issues so that's nice.

I love these shoes. Ordered in October, and they got a solid month of use. They grip around the foot amazingly, very airy feel and look great. November came and so did cold weather. Being so airy I put them away. I took them back out mid-December on a odd nice day. First couple hours were fine, and then the lowest eyelet on one of the shoes just popped. I bought the wide version for my feet and there was plenty of room in them so I can only assume this is a manufacturing defect. Sadly - being an Amazon purchase - New Balance directly didn't help, but redirected to Amazon. After a particularly grueling chat session with Amazon Reps (5 total since their chat kept timing out while they were checking on solutions) we arrived at an agreement. I plan to repurchase these shoes again, however I'm now hesitant to do so on Amazon. It may be better to purchase directly from New Balance.

5 stars for comfort, but 3 stars for durability. I've had three pairs of these. The soles wore down quickly on the first two, and the material on the top, near my toes, eventually split where my big toe rubbed against the inside. And yes, I trim my nails on the regular. I'd still buy them because they are so darn comfortable and you can convert them to slip-ons by replacing the shoelaces with a pair of lock laces (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007DLVLAW?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1&psc=1).
