Fantastic monitor, Impressed...with only one regret.
By Greg3d on Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2025
I am extremely impressed with this monitor. I must admit I was skeptical at first, it being relatievly inexpensive. For my needs 60Hz is is more than adequate for daily use and even gaming. The build quality is outstanding, the panel is very bright, brighter than the laptop I have it connexted to! Easy to set up, plug and play and thats it! I have an older laptop that didnt supply a picture through the USB-A to USB-C conversion, so I am using the supplied HDMI cable and a USB-A to C for power. Luckily three cables are supplied, quality cables complete with plastic caps (classy). So if you are getting power but no picture, this info might help. I have only one regret, something you may want to consider: I wish I had gotten the A1 instead of the S1-Table. I thought that having a cover which is used as a stand was the way to go. I guess if you will be using this on the go, mainly traveling with it VERY often, it makes sense. But the cover does not allow for viewing angle adjustments. The kickstand on the comparable A1 (and the other higher end models) is adjustable. If you will not be using it as an on the go monitor, opt for the kickstand verions. They dont come with a cover though. The majority of us will place this monitor on a desk, and leave it there connected to a laptop or pc and never need to disconnect it, so the cover doesnt make sense as it needs to be used as the stand for it instead of a cover. Not being in my budget to order another one for my main desktop use, I regret not ordering one with the kickstand. Dont make my mistake, think of how you will be using it Thats my ONLY regret with this purchase!

Not perfect but pretty good for the price
By Sam on Reviewed in the United States on March 27, 2025
I work on a cheap laptop a lot of the time and this monitor is a great supplement for a bigger, prettier display without having to pay hundreds more for a better computer. But it isn’t perfect. THE GOOD: for the size and price, the picture is gorgeous quality. HDR is a very impressive feature in this model, and the brightness and viewing angles are pretty good for an IPS display. While there are many reviews saying it is difficult to set up or “doesn’t work” with USB-C, these people simply don’t understand USB-C. USB-C is just a shape of a plug. Not all USB-C ports support thunderbolt/power+display connections natively. Also, not all USB-C cables are thunderbolt cables. Every thunderbolt port I’ve connected this to work with ONE cable, which is the same cable from the box. No problems there. Don’t blame the device if you don’t know how thunderbolt works… THE MID: from the instructions, it is really unclear if the USB-C ports on this device are the same or if one is power and the other is data. This is not a hard thing to label on the device. I also feel like this device should come with an external power supply, since it claims to need a 3.5 amp power supply, and most USB phone chargers are 1-2 amps. This monitor also weighs roughly as much as my laptop, which isn’t exactly featherweight. However, I definitely don’t want a lighter portable monitor if it means it’ll be weaker. If the strength is a factor, I’m okay with the weight. THE BAD: the “smart” case it comes with is terrible. It’s just a tragedy. I’m going to buy a tablet stand, because it is unusable. The magnet on the back is very weak, and there are no magnets for the angle adjustment. It is a bad recreation of the iPad Pro Smart Keyboard case, which is also no longer made because of how bad it was. It’s a regressive design for an otherwise great product. Also, the speakers might as well not even be there. They are dead quiet at max volume and the sound quality is horrible. If they even care, my suggestion to the product team is to ditch the speakers and invest that money into a better case/stand.
