Well-made, attractive, highly functional, mid-sized trash can

I searched high and low for a mid-sized trash can with a lid. They are surprisingly difficult to find. As soon as I found this one, I ordered it. I purchased a used-like new item, and I received an excellent product. The compartment divider is easy to remove; just find the tiny screws. Battery life appears to be good, and the motion detection works perfectly (even when my cat is sitting on the table above the trash can and swishes her tail.)

Lasted under a year. Now no longer opens despite new batteries

This looks nice and worked great until it died. Now the little light turns on when motion is detected but will no longer open lid. Didn’t last a year for me unfortunately.
