Good choice so far, recommended for the price. === Hardware === Fingerprint and face recognition work well: fingerprint has good placement but face recognition might be subject to be unlocked with pictures, so it could be improved. Decent cameras for the price range, image stabilization and screen refresh rate (120hz) stand out, as usually these are features only available in more "premium" models. Screen could be brighter and it's inferior to Samsung models with Super AMOLED, but it's still good. Internal storage is 256GB and it has pretty good read and write speeds (286MB/s seq write and 767MB/s seq. read using CPDT app. SD card slot available and working too. Initial battery estimates from AccuBattery Pro indicate a full battery time of 16h20min for screen on and 32h of combined use. I believe setting the refresh rate from 120hz to 60hz significantly increases the battery time. Unfortunately 90hz is not an option. === OS === As with most ROMs out there, MIUI doesn't have many options for customization and ships with many Xiaomi and Google apps that cannot be removed or disabled. It also ships other bloatware - Facebook app, and many games, but these can be uninstalled. A great feature is the OS-level dark theme adaptation for apps that don't have dark theme. === Issues === No problems such as faulty hardware or serious bugs so far.
