They keep going and going
By LieutenantColumbo on Reviewed in the United States on June 18, 2025
The first one I got was damaged and looked like a drone might have dropped it 50 ft. The second one is great. Seems to have good cutting power. I have a lot of bushes and still had plenty of charge left after I was done trimming them this spring. I also had some dead bushes and used this to trim away most of the branches before dealing with the stumps. Not having a cord gets rid of a lot of the aggravation of this process. I've accumulated a lot of taped up extension cords over the years. It is also easier to touch up the bushes when you get a few crazy growth spurts. Wish I had bought one of these years ago. Seem to have plenty of cutting power and the battery hasn't died yet.

I'd rather have my B&D 24" back
By techboy on Reviewed in the United States on July 23, 2022
My 24" Black and Decker shot craps on me this week, so I went to buy another one, and discovered it's no longer available. So, I bought this Greenworks 22" unit. Having used it for the first time, I immediately found I could no longer lock it in the on position as I could with the B&D one. Now, in order to keep the blades cutting, I must squeeze the trigger constantly. With the B&D, I could lock the safety release in the "on" position and it would run until I clicked the trigger. With the Greenworks unit, having to constantly squeeze the trigger adds significantly to hand and arm fatigue in a hurry. I also miss the extra couple inches of the B&D, as now, it takes longer to trim the surface area that I have. But for some reason they don't make a 24" either. My B&D blades could be rotated, which this one's cannot. And because I must constantly squeeze the trigger, I can't hold the unit single-handedly by the forward handle instead of the rear, which used to make it much easier to trim sideways using the B&D. Otherwise, it does the job, but if I could have my B&D back, I'd trade any day.
