Has onboard memory! No software required! CHEAP!!!

I installed iCue right away and updated the firmware (painless), then tested things out. In order to do 'custom colors' (besides the default colors), iCue has to be running, which is not great, but not a dealbreaker either. Without iCue, one can use the FN + 1-5 keys to adjust the hue of each 'zone'. Since I wanted static green, no issue there at all as green is a default 'hardware mode' color. When I reboot, the keyboard remembers the color and zone config without me using iCue, nice! In spite of using a 'zone' lighting scheme, each key's symbols are readily legible in the dark. Couldn't care less about macros, but this can handle those with the G keys. The keys have a slight wobble to them, and I guess some people may care about that; I couldn't care less as everything feels responsive and solid. It does not have a gigantic permanently attached wrist rest, thankfully. I prefer membrane keys but ymmv, and these are sufficiently quiet. I got this keyboard in new condition in a 'hassle free' package for about $26. For the features, not having to use software to change AND KEEP colors between reboots — and of course the bang for the buck — one would be hard pressed indeed to do better than this. If it breaks too soon I'll be sure to update this review.

Here's a 2.5 year review from a power user (Gaming/Video editing)

I purchased this keyboard in September 2022 and it has been my daily driver since. Ultimately, I do not recommend this model; perhaps newer ones are better, but I will never trust Corsair again to even check them out. There are many pros to this keyboard that have been mentioned numerous times throughout the reviews. Almost all of them are true, until they aren't. Here's a few points. iCUE software allows you to program hotkeys, macros, Stream Deck integration, lighting, and more! Sure, until it goes into a brick loop and you have to reset your keyboard, which destroys everything you've built. Try having 50+ keys and profiles for games, work, and other computer programs, but you have to rebuild them every few months. Is this keyboard worth 8 hours of trouble shooting three to four times a year? The keyboard is ergonomic, and the height and key weight do make it a joy to type on. However, per my attached photo, my wrist rest was received warped. It was so tightly secured I didn't realize it until after six months of ownership when it finally had enough and popped off. For the last two years, it's never gone back, and it's been a pain to use. You don't know joy until you've slipped and tapped a wrist rest in the perfect scenario where it pops up and slaps you in the face like a fish fighting a net. On the other subject, I've had an issue with the D button double and triple pressing. That's been a joy in video games! It doesn't happen much in typing, but when it does, you can be sure I'm dddddddddepressed about it. If I didn't hold shift in Minecraft, so many ledges would own me. All in all I can't get rid of the keyboard until Premiere pro has better hotkey integrations for stuff like the stream deck, but once it does, you can be sure nothing with the Corsair branding will ever touch my desk again. I already learned my lesson with their headphones, but the keyboard put them in the grave for me.
