Great product and will probably get even better

Ok, here it goes...I REALLY like this doorbell. This replaced a 2nd gen Ring. I really like the smaller footprint of the Wyze, along with the chime that's included with it. Great bargain there, as the chime is programmable to different alert tones. The image and video from the camera is great...DAY OR NIGHT! it's very clear and almost zero lag from real-time. I power it with the same adapter (18vac) I used on the Ring V2. Installation was a breeze, as I only need to make 2 holes in the mortar and anchor it in. Setup...Take your time, and follow every step. You'll find that the setup is very easy. When you get to the part of Setup where you been to scan the QR code, hold it in front of the camera, then load it up on your network. I emphasize that because I made the mistake and tried to scan the code with my phone. LOL Once I got over my brain-fart, the rest was easy...VERY easy. Network connection...The Wyze is NOT 5G compatible...yet, so I loaded it onto my 2.4Ghz. I was concerned about it being mounted outside of a brick home, so I have a wifi extender on standby ( I needed it for the Ring V2). Much to my surprise, I don't need the extender. I'm getting a full wifi connection with no extender (you may find your circumstances to be different). Alexa...enable the Wyze skill and don't look back. I have a first gen Echo Show. It shows me the doorbell, but the video is in a different orientation, which I cannot change. But I believe that to be an Alexa issue. But I'm satisfied with the full-screen video I get on my phone, anyway. Overall, I give this unit 5 stars because of it's ease of installation, setup, and performance. I believe other features will be implemented as time moves forward, making this doorbell even better...time will tell. But for now, I'm very pleased...and surprised over the efficiency of this small doorbell. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good doorbell...along with a very inexpensive annual or monthly subscription to benefit from all of it's features. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Product is garbage. Image is good

Final update. Do not buy this. It seems like an update has improved the detection rate some... but I've discovered that the chime will not stay connected so there is no way to know when someone is ringing the bell unless you're looking at your phone. The alexa integration is not consistent either. Just purchased another brand in black Friday deal. I tried to cancel the yearly plan I had for this camera only to discover that there are no refunds for the remainder of the year of you cancel... it only stops the renewal. So I'm out the remaining 9 months worth of subscription. Support is garbage. Update: software is garbage and I'm actively researching which doorbell I want to replace it with (probably going back to ring) . When I have the settings low enough to where it doesn't alert on every little movement, it doesn't even capture people walking up directly to the door. I've paid for the "plus" subscription, but half the time it tells me features are unavailable because they're only for "plus" members... sometimes they work fine. When it does this, it won't record for another 5 minutes after it's triggered... idk how many packages I've had delivered during one of these "blackout" periods that were the result of the tree triggering movement (despite the whole tree being in the "ignore" zone). So disappointed because the picture and the night vision are really good. Getting pretty frustrated with this thing... I'll start by saying I replaced an older ring with this video doorbell since it was a great deal on prime day. At first, I was really impressed with the image quality compared to my ring. The field of view is much more narrow since it does not have the fish eye lense... but the image was clear and vibrant... i could actually identify subjects in the video (which the ring was a struggle). I did not like that this doorbell didn't hook up to my existing chime... have to use a plug-in speaker. After about 2 weeks of having this thing installed, the software and detection ability are driving me crazy. It's straight up awful compared to the ring software. We have a big tree directly in front of the doorbell and no matter how low I've got the sensitivity (it's at 14/100 now) or the fact that I've got 90% of the camera in a "no detect zone"now, I'm getting motion alerts every time the tree moves. (I've attached a picture of the detection zone, the darker boxes are supposed to be no- detect). I don't want to turn notifications off, because I'd like to be alerted when someone comes to the door. I did not have this issue with the ring software and the doorbell is in the exact same position. (I attached a screenshot from the ring - labeled 'ring' in the top left... and a video from the wyze camera). I want to love this camera... and I'm really hoping the software gets better. It was really easy to install and i think it would be great for someone looking for a budget friendly option.
