Comfy, affordable… the pug loves it!

I’ve always had trouble sleeping on the hard traditional mattress in Mom’s guest room. My pug dog also craves comfort and was up and down all night, too. Trying to find a comfy spot. Before this layest trip, I ordered a Zinus to replace the hard, old mattress … and happy I did. Extremely comfortable. Two inches of memory foam softness and 10 inches of firm foam below, so we don’t sink down into oblivion. Photos show the mattress the same day I got it. After about 12 hours of expansion. The corners did not expand well at first so I took Zinus’s advice and jumped around on it a bit. Helped a lot. I might go further and actually steam the corners with a clithing steamer (another Zinus trick) but, to be honest, the corners are just fine as they are. The bed looks…. And even better SLEEPS great. Even the (snoring) pug approves!

Never inflated, definitely defective

I saw that almost half of the reviews said that their mattresses never fully inflated, but I have this same mattress model bought from Costco about two years ago, love that one, it is not only very comfortable, but also very durable, so I thought I would take the risk and buy another one despite the bad reviews. Well, no luck. The mattress stays lump, inflated only about halfway, and very unevenly. It is definitely unusable. I see the manufacturing date is May 2020, so I am not sure if after being compressed in the box for over a year caused the damage, or the mattresses were in a hot container and melted or got damaged by the heat otherwise -- but something is definitely wrong with the one I received. Trying to return it now. I hope Amazon can also pick it up, because I can't use it, but it's also too big for a garbage bin. I wouldn't even know how to dispose of it.
