Massage Gel Shaker Bowl

Firstly this was being used for the nuru gel which is placed into the bowl with warm water 40-50°C per instructions. The bowl surprisingly held the heat in well, however after two uses this led to the bamboo lid warping. This caused the seal to no longer work and the bowl to leak. I have a bamboo cutting board exposed to high heat and even steam, it doesn’t warp, maybe something is wrong with their manufacturing process. The bowl is a brushed steel I think, I don’t believe it’s stainless, after touching it with wet hands you can definitely smell the iron in the metal. Be sure to dry it well with the grain after each use. It’s also double layer with an air gap meaning the exterior can dent. Probably why it holds heat so well. It BARELY fits 500ml which is the default amount of gel made, but it does, which surprised me. For the price I’d expect more than two uses out of the product before it stops performing its function. You can honestly get a glass food container or Tupperware for the price and have it perform better. Although you lose out on the “Japanese aesthetic“ they’re going for with the bamboo.
