Best home office equipment I've ever tried!!
By Tina on Reviewed in the United States on August 17, 2021
Honestly I wasn't completely sold when I first saw that Anker is starting to do home office equipments, but decided to give it a try since I do like and trust the brand. Turned out to be the best purchase I've made since working from home!! It's certainly more pricy than many other webcams on the market, but I found it so worth every penny I paid. Initially, I thought the basic webcam that comes with my laptop should be sufficient; however, I soon realized how powerful this webcam is, with an extremely high video quality which enables for a much better professional look with a perfect video angle (very easily adjustable ❤️❤️ great product design!!!) , as well as the high-quality voice with noise canceling functionality. (See picture attached for a comparison of using Zoom with MacBook Pro 2019 built-in camera, taken at the exact same location, lighting, angle etc) The Plug and play support that comes with this webcam was AMAZING.🥳 By simply connecting the webcam to my laptop anytime, anywhere, (or even my friend's laptop for the first time!), NO SETUP NEEDED, it immediately enables the mic and video perfectly whenever I join video conference calls via Google Meet, Zoom, and a bunch of other apps I didn't personally try out (WebEx Teams, Microsoft Teams, etc) And bonus points for being a great help to my roommate who used this webcam for tons of interviews while job hunting during covid, said it always worked perfectly, led to great video conference experiences, and was a great help in landing a new job offer recently!

Disappointing image quality
By Simon Weaver on Reviewed in the United States on February 17, 2022
I bought this camera without researching it, as I have come to trust the Anker brand over the years. Unfortunately, the camera was a disappointment and I ended up returning it. The biggest issue was the fact it made me pink. Freakishly pink. I couldn't find a hue slider in the provided software to correct the issue and my 3rd party software wouldn't cooperate with it. On the positive side, the HDR option is good to have. It does a fairly decent job of removing blown highlights and boosting shadows. The auto focus is also very good. It puts the auto focus on the the Logitech C920 to shame. Overall though, I found the image quality to be poor. It obviously has a tiny sensor so there is a lot of noise. It deals with this by subjecting the image to both aggressive noise reduction and then sharpening. I personally thought the resulting image looked awful. I immediately looked for a way to reduce the sharpening in the software. When I did that it didn't make it look like I had turned the sharpening down. It made me look like I had obscured the sharpening with added digital blur. Even worse. I don't like the 3 viewing angle choices, as if you choose anything other than ultra-wide you are throwing away valuable resolution. This doesn't have a 12MP sensor like recent iPads/iMacs that can zoom by using a 1080p portion of the sensor. This whole sensor is only 1080p. Any zoom and you are at 720p or 480p. More blur. Putting all these complaints aside, if you are not too fussy about great image quality and you have a complexion unlike mine, you may be very happy with this camera. It isn't too expensive and it is better than other cameras in many ways. I bought it to replace a C920. If I hadn't looked pink I would have lived with the other downsides and kept it. I found it far superior to the C920 technically. If you are after a really good image, you need a webcam with a larger sensor. Finding one with a large sensor is pretty much impossible I have found. I have no idea why. The only one I have been able to find that comes close is the "MOKOSE 4K@30fps USB Camera with 6-12mm Varifocal Manual Lens". That camera requires manual focusing and needs a separate microphone, but if you are willing to mess around a bit, you can get a really nice image out of it. I wish Anker would take all they have achieved technically with this product and use the knowledge with a decent sensor and optics.
