Total Game-Changer in the Kitchen
By Charles on Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2025
I bought this for my wife, and she has just about stopped using the stove. She freaking loves this thing and wouldn’t cook without it now. It has replaced so many other appliances in our kitchen and handles everything from pressure cooking to air frying to steaming in one pot. The size is great. It’s big enough for family meals and batch cooking but doesn’t take up too much space on the counter. It also feels really durable. You can tell it’s built to last, even with heavy use. One thing I really appreciate is the safety features. The lid locks securely, the steam release is controlled and easy to use, and the smart settings help prevent overcooking or accidents. It gives us peace of mind, especially with kids running around. The smart features make cooking easier and more consistent. She’s made all kinds of meals in it, and they always turn out great. Cleanup is quick too, which is a huge bonus.

Disappointed and Frustrated: Ninja Failed to Stand Behind Its Product
By angela spilker on Reviewed in the United States on December 18, 2024
I absolutely loved my Ninja OL601 Foodi XL 8 Qt. Pressure Cooker Steam Fryer with SmartLid, 14-in-1 that Air Fries, Bakes, and More—until day 321 of 365, when it completely stopped working. What followed was a customer service nightmare that left me disillusioned, betrayed, and burdened with a 25-pound boat anchor. First, I’ll admit, I was optimistic. I had registered my product and it was still under the one-year warranty. I contacted Ninja’s customer support, only to endure 56 minutes on the phone with no satisfactory resolution. Initially, they offered to replace the product—but only if I paid for shipping. I cried foul, and they waived the fee. However, the hoops I had to jump through afterward were both absurd and infuriating. To qualify for a replacement, I was required to cut the electrical cord off the unit and allow Ninja to access my phone camera to verify the dissection. After three failed attempts with the link they provided, I had to email a photo instead. Despite following their instructions, Ninja claimed they hadn’t received the photo in a timely manner and promised to call me when they did. At this point, I was told the replacement—an inferior model without the pressure-cooking feature—would take 4–5 weeks to ship. On day 322, I followed up, spending another 26 minutes on the phone, only to be told the same thing: no cash refunds could be issued because I didn’t purchase the product directly from Ninja. I reiterated that the replacement model they offered was unacceptable due to its lack of pressure-cooking functionality—a key feature of my original purchase. The supervisor I spoke with had nothing new to offer except to repeat that a refund wasn’t possible, and my only option was the lesser model. At this point, my patience was gone. I had loved this product, and it felt like a betrayal to be offered an inferior replacement instead of a refund or a comparable unit. To add insult to injury, Ninja informed me that they no longer make the original all-in-one Pressure Cooker Steam Fryer with SmartLid. If this is true, why was this product ever sold with the promise of long-term support and quality? This experience was a harsh reminder of the Latin phrase “Caveat Emptor”—let the buyer beware. Ninja failed to uphold their end of the deal, and I feel obligated to warn others. If the product works, it’s fantastic. But when it fails, expect a lack of accountability and subpar customer service. And don’t expect Amazon to help either—once their 30-day return window closes, you’re on your own. I would gladly have kept this product had it continued working, but now I’m left with nothing but disappointment. I hope this review serves as a warning: Ninja’s products may look promising, but their failure to stand behind their creation makes me wary of ever buying from them again.
