DIY Heated Water
By shinyhalo on Reviewed in the United States on February 26, 2021
I have a basic (untrained) understanding of Electrical and Plumbing and I was able to get this installed. I put it about 5 feet above the ground so when it's time for the yearly maintenance (that old fashioned water heaters also demand) it will be easy to hook up the drain hoses. You need to buy the bronze valve kit ($45) for these types of water heaters. For those wondering if it's powerful. WOW. Ridiculously hot water. I turned mine down to 110 degrees to be safe from scalding. Just set it to the max temperature you want and wait one minute for it to stabilize. An old fashioned water heater has the same risk.

Customer Service seems to be a one man show and they have a large volume of calls apparently.

I have had nothing but trouble with this product. I received it had it installed it worked for about 3 days and stopped working. I was not happy with the hot water when it was working. I find out that the wiring diagram in the directions was wrong and had two switch the wires on the last breaker to the hot water heater. The Customer Service rep said I was only getting 110 v not 220 to one of the tanks, thus the problem with the not so hot water. Then he determined the circuit board was bad and sent me two new ones one for the unit an one for the display. This took about 8 day from the time of my first call. Customer Service never answers the phone, you have to leave a message, they may call you back that day or the next. Then they shipped the circuit boards with no express deliver and it took an additional 5 days for them to arrive. I installed them and the hot water heater dose the same thing, still does not work.
