Refurbished - but really a new monitor for a lower price.

This monitor is massive and works great for my needs. I am using as a secondary monitor for a MacBook Air and I can now easily tile multiple windows in this monitor and multitask or analyze large spreadsheets. Quality for streaming is also very good.

Where to start with this turd

This monitor was broken right out of the box: Back menu button must have a short because it was only functional 5% of the time. The fact that I could not physically turn the monitor on and off via this button was beyond frustrating. The only way to make it briefly work was to unplug the power source from the back of the unit. This would buy me about 4-5 minutes of functionality before the monitor would just turn off, then hopefully (but usually not) back on. Back inputs also seemed faulty. Inputs kept switching randomly and also the screen would shut off every 1-2 minutes. I will never buy another refurbished item from Amazon again as this monitor clearly wasn't tested prior to shipping. The provided power unit has tape on the plug, not sure if this was cosmetic to hold it together. Save yourself time and frustration and just pay the extra for a new unit. I now have to unplug this turd and redo all my cord management and then return it to an ups store.
